Cattle, sheep: by subcutaneous, 10 mg/kg, Pig: Pneumonia: 181-383 gm/ton of feed;Poultry: by addition to drinking water, 75 mg/Litre.
Do not administer to any animals IV or death can result. Do not administer to goats. It is not recommended for small animals. IM injections may cause a local tissue reaction resulting in trim loss. Edema is possible at SC injection site. Tilmicosin may be cardiotoxic in some animals. Injections to pigs have been fatal because of cardiotoxicity. The cardiac effects are increased heart rate and decreased contractility. Rabbit: Weakness, pallor, tachypnea and sudden death. May cause acute death if given IV. SC injections can cause local swelling and necrosis
