Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoids Adsorbed is a vaccine indicated for active immunization against diphtheria and tetanus. Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoids Adsorbed is approved for use in children from 6 weeks through 6 years of age (prior to 7th birthday)

Oxytetracycline inhibits cell growth by inhibiting translation. It binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit and prevents the amino-acyl tRNA from binding to the A site of the ribosome. The binding is reversible in nature. Oxytetracycline is lipophilic and can easily pass through the cell membrane or passively diffuses through porin channels in the bacterial membrane.
The five dose immunization series consists of an injection administered at 2, 4, 6, 15-18 months and between 4 and 6 years of age.
Antacids containing Aluminium, Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc or Iron salts may impair the absorption of Oxytetracycline. In long term therapy, Tetracyclines depress plasma prothrombin activity and reduced doses of concomitant anticoagulants may be necessary. A few cases of pregnancy or breakthrough bleeding have been attributed to the concurrent use of Tetracyclines or Oxytetracyclines with oral contraceptives.
Severe allergic reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) after a previous dose of Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoids Adsorbed or any other diphtheria toxoid or tetanus toxoid-containing vaccine, or any other component of this vaccine
crying, fever, and loss of appetite
Pregnancy Category C. Either studies in animals have revealed adverse effects on the foetus (teratogenic or embryocidal or other) and there are no controlled studies in women or studies in women and animals are not available
