Dithranol & combined preparations
Dithranol: Dithranol can block the supply of ATP to epidermal cells of the skin, thereby cutting off the energy supply to Keratinocytes. This mechanism may at least partially explain the curative effect of dithranol on psoriasis. It has antifungal properties. Salicylic acid: It is a Keratolytic agent. Salicylic acid accelerates desquamation, thereby eliminating the invading fungus and helping the medication penetrate the skin. Keratolysis is the process of shedding the hard layer of the epidermis. Salicylic acid completes the desquamation process by dissolving the intercellular cement, which holds the scales of the stratum corneum together. Salicylic acid works primarily by increasing the shedding of the scales.
Boric acid: It has the ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi (bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties).
Apply on the skin 2 times daily.
