Calcium plays a critical role in the human body. It is required for the proper functioning of bone, nerve cells, muscle, and other vital organs, as well as the body's regulatory system. If there is insufficient calcium in the blood, the body will take calcium from the bones, weakening them and causing various types of bone disorders. Vitamin D3 aids calcium absorption in the body.

Co-administration with thiazide diuretics or vit D may lead to milk-alkali syndrome and hypercalcaemia. Decreased absorption with corticosteroids. Decreases absorption of tetracyclines, atenolol, iron, quinolones, alendronate, Na fluoride, Zn and calcium-channel blockers. Enhances cardiac effects of digitalis glycosides and may precipitate digitalis intoxication.
It should be avoided in patients with liver disease or asthma, and it is contraindicated in patients who are on or about to stop taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors.

600 mg and 400 IU: Each film-coated tablet contains Calcium Carbonate BP (eggshell source) 1500 mg equivalent to 600 mg of elemental Calcium and Cholecalciferol ( vitamin D3) BP 400 IU.
